To our Taco Bell fans,
With the end of the year and the holiday season approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about the act of giving. When you give, you give to make a difference, even if small, in someone else’s life. It’s about making an impact.
Impact is one of the things we’ve tried to really be intentional about this year at Taco Bell. And in 2021, we feel pretty good about the impacts we’ve made. We helped the Taco Bell Foundation aid young people with $7 million in scholarships. We started diverting hot sauce packets away from landfills with TerraCycle in a U.S. pilot program. We brought back our fan-favorite potatoes and continued vegetarian innovation.
But we can do more. We can create more opportunities for more people. So we placed a new seat at our decision-making table — in the form of a Chief Impact Officer (CIO).
And who better to serve in that role than former Taco Bell team member Lil Nas X? He’s a cultural icon. He knows how to be disruptive for good. He is authentically himself in every situation. He embodies our “start with us, stay with us” mentality. Even though Lil Nas X didn’t stay a team member permanently, he is forever part of our fam.
We’re so excited that he has joined us once again to inspire new innovation. Lil Nas X will be a catalyst for impact through inclusivity. He will unlock the power of creativity within you and elevate your voice, drive meaningful change in people’s lives and serve for the greater good. While I can’t spill much more just yet, you’ll hear from the CIO himself quite soon.
