Nachos Supreme: Food’s Fakie Manual
Eating nachos is a lot like doing a nice, long manual. But when it comes to the Nachos Supreme, it’s worth it.
Stay with us here. See, the whole nacho experience is about staying consistent from the beginning to the end. If you’re a veteran nacho eater like us, you know that unfortunately not every chip is created equal. Even though the Nachos Supreme® has seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, refried beans, diced tomatoes, and reduced fat sour cream, most of that goodness sits on the top. The first layer of tortilla chips get a pretty serious dousing of supreme, but the chips on the bottom are a bit on the dry side. Kind of like if you’re sitting (well, let’s be honest, standing/dancing same thing) in the front row at a concert, you’re more likely to hold hands with the singer or catch a guitar pick. The front row gets everything, right? It goes for the same with the nachos. The top layer of chips get all the good stuff, and the bottom layers of chips just make do with what they get their little fried tortilla edges on. So, if you want to have a truly supreme nacho experience, you have to keep a perfect balance between the dry chips and their more endowed brethren. Didn’t understand the concert analogy above? That’s cool, we got a better one for you. Nachos Supreme® and skateboarding. Bet you don’t know what the two have in common. Spoiler alert, you have to achieve the perfect ratio of Nacho toppings and tortilla chips. Just like how skaters have to keep the balance between their back foot and their front foot to keep the perfect manual intact. And as any decent skater knows, if you don’t have a sense of balance when you’re cranking out manuals, you look like a dang fool. That, and you’re about to have a very sore tailbone. But with every negative, there’s a positive. Say you’re that skateboarder who hasn’t mastered that balance and you’re out a few days because your tailbone is sore. You know what will help ease that pain? You guessed it. The Nachos Supreme®. Obviously the one who has better balance than you, the amateur skateboarder. Don’t worry, no one’s judging. We all have our talents.
