Taco Bell® today announced that for the first time they will be teaming up with the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the â€œSteal a Game, Steal a Tacoâ€? promotion during the 2016 NBA Finals. The promotion gives America a free Doritos® Locos Taco if a team wins (â€œstealsâ€?) a road game in the NBA Finals, which begin Thursday, June 2 on ABC.

If the road team wins Game 1, Game 2, or Game 3, America will get a free Doritos® Locos Taco on Wednesday, June 15 from 2 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (local time) at all participating Taco Bell locations. If the road team wins Game 4, Game 5, Game 6, or Game 7, America will score a free Doritos® Locos Taco on Tuesday, June 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (local time) at all participating US Taco Bell locations. The â€œSteal a Game, Steal a Tacoâ€? campaign follows the brandâ€™s highly successful Major League Baseball â€œSteal a Base, Steal a Tacoâ€? campaign, which began in 2007, with Jacoby Ellsbury of the Boston Red Sox stealing a base in Game Two of that yearâ€™s World Series and earning America a free taco. The program returned to the World Series in 2008, 2012 and most recently last year, in the 2015 World Series when America received a free A.M. Crunchwrap® when Lorenzo Cain of the Kansas City Royals stole second base in the sixth inning of Game One.
Taco Bell will support the campaign with an integrated marketing effort that includes advertising (television, online), social media and public relations.
If a the visiting team wins (â€œstealsâ€?) a game during the NBA Finals, Taco Bell will make an announcement through selected media channels, including a media alert and its web site www.TacoBell.com/StealATaco, (collectively, the â€œAnnouncement(s)â€?) that Eligible Consumers may obtain one (1) Free Doritos® Locos Taco, selecting from the Nacho Cheese Doritos® Locos Taco, Fiery Doritos® Locos Taco, or Cool Ranch® Doritos® Locos Taco, during the Promotion Window on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 (if visiting team wins Game 1, Game 2 or Game 3) OR Tuesday, June 21, 2016 (if the visiting team wins Game 4, Game 5, Game 6 or Game 7) ('Redemption Date') only, while supplies last. To obtain the Free Doritos® Locos Taco, Eligible Consumers must visit and be in line at any participating Taco Bell® restaurant in the Territory between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (local time) (â€œPromotion Windowâ€?) on the Redemption Date only and request a Free Doritos® Locos Tacos.
