Supporting Youth

Today’s youth will be tomorrow’s leaders, creators and innovators. They are our customers, our friends, our families, and our employees – making up 30 percent of our team members. And most importantly, they are our future. That’s why, for over 20 years, Taco Bell, together with the Taco Bell Foundation® has paved the way to help teens graduate from high school and gain the confidence to reach their full potential via programs, partnerships and direct financial assistance. Since 1992, the Taco Bell Foundation has awarded more than $60 million in grants and scholarships focused on education and career readiness, helping over 3 million teens across the country. In 2016, we launched the Live Mas Scholarship program and awarded $1 million in post-high school educational scholarships to 220 young creators, innovators and dreamers – those whose passions and talents did not necessarily fall into the conventional “academic” or “athletic” qualifying categories of traditional scholarship programs. We also launched a Live Mas Scholarship program dedicated to restaurant employees – giving away $275,000 in scholarships to 50 restaurant employees in the first year. In 2017, we’re awarding another $1.3 million to 155 young people.
